Created by a sophomore seminar at Hamilton College, this blog considers the past, present, and future of the Hudson River, once described by Robert Boyle as "the most beautiful, messed up, productive, ignored, and surprising piece of water on the face of the earth."

Wow. That's news to me. Alpine is the town next to me, so if this actually goes through (which seems unlikely), that would be quite a shock and change of scenery.

When I was a cub scout, we went to the Alpine Scout Camp sometimes, for close-to-home weekend trips. I remember having a lot of fun there, so not only would I hate to see the casino go up, but I'd hate to lose the woods I spent some timing growing up in.
