Is This a Good Idea?
Created by a sophomore seminar at Hamilton College, this blog considers the past, present, and future of the Hudson River, once described by Robert Boyle as "the most beautiful, messed up, productive, ignored, and surprising piece of water on the face of the earth."

This is a horrible idea for several reasons. First, would be unfair for citizens who already pay heavier property taxes to pay extra. This would also discourage people from buying property in the town, which would drive values down. A preservation act, while it could have some benefits, should be funded by a private organization instead of town taxes.
